v0.3.0: Special Tiles!


We're introducing the next big part of the game - special tiles! These are similar to Relics in autobattlers and roguelike games. These pieces provide powerful effects or scoring abilities and should guide strategy more. These will eventually replace recipe machines - but machines may come back in some capacity later on! Some crops balanced too.

  • 6 Special Tiles have been added!
  • At the start of Round 2, you get to choose a Special Tile.
  • Cabbage grows each round in a random space and scores diminishing VP.
  • Garlic now scores 30% VP and also from crops (except other Garlic and Spinach). Will try to find a better solution for Spinach adjacency...this crop also may be renamed to something else and Garlic repurposed.
  • Eggplant now requires a group of 4+ (up from 3+) and only scores 4VP per, down from 5.
  • Chili - 4VP, up from 3VP
  • Potato scores 4VP per empty space now up from 2, but this is probably going to get reworked.
  • Squash now gives 20VP per unrooted crop, up from 10, to reward big rooted setups.
  • Beans now scores 2VP per height and scores 50VP when fully grown.
  • Pepper is now permanently rooted.
  • You can now create a Mountain. I wonder how?
  • Cactus can now be next to and score points from a Mountain.
  • Basic animations added for growth at end of round.
  • Visual updates for multi-block pieces
